The Economic Vitality team of Jefferson Matters: A Main Street and Chamber Community is offering mini-grants of up to $500 each to financially assist Jefferson business owners who want to introduce a new product.
The grant program is to assist business owners to diversify and grow product lines based on ESRI data and demand of product. Data previously gathered in Jefferson shows community members would like to have men’s clothing, a sporting goods line, and children’s toys available, to name just a few possible new products.
The grants are intended to take some of the financial fear from trying something new.
The grant application is available at jeffersonmatters.org under Resources – Existing Business Growth Mini-Grant.
“While the organization knows that every single product cannot be available locally, we want to assist in providing the products and services that we can in our community. It is important that we invest in you, our local businessperson,” a JMMS&CC spokesperson said.
Persons who want more information can contact director Matt Wetrich at director@jeffersonmatters.org or call 515-386-2155.
